Q: What is Friendship Rewards?

  1. Christopher & Banks Friendship Rewards is a points-based loyalty program consisting of four tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. As a member of the program, you will automatically receive points for every dollar you spend on qualifying merchandise at Christopher & Banks store locations, online at, or by phone. For every 2500 points you earn, you will receive a $10 Friendship Rewards Certificate.

Q: How do I become a Friendship Rewards Member?

  1. There is no fee to join the Friendship Rewards program. You may sign up in a store or at When you become a Christopher & Banks credit cardholder, you’re automatically enrolled in Friendship Rewards.

Q: How do I earn points?

  1. As a member of Friendship Rewards, you will earn 10 points per $1 spent on qualifying merchandise purchases at Christopher & Banks (in-store, online or by phone). Points will be calculated based on qualifying merchandise purchases, after all discounts (e.g. In-store event discounts, coupons, special offers, Reward Certificate redemption) have been applied, and before shipping and/or taxes. Earn points even faster when you use your Christopher & Banks credit card (C&BCC). You will receive 15 points per $1 spent on qualifying merchandise purchases at Christopher & Banks (in-store, online or by phone).

Q: What is qualifying merchandise?

  1. Qualifying merchandise includes apparel, accessories and footwear. Qualifying merchandise excludes sales tax, state fees, state or provincial fees, duty or value added taxes, gift cards, gift wrapping, shipping, handling and other services. See terms for complete details.

Q: When do I receive my bonus enrollment points?

  1. 250 bonus enrollment points are earned when you sign up for the Friendship Rewards Program. If you apply and are approved for a C&BCC you will earn an additional 250 bonus enrollment points for a total of 500 bonus enrollment points. Points are awarded in the month following your enrollment or credit card approval.

Q: Do I need to provide my Friendship Rewards number to get credit for my purchases?

  1. Yes. When purchasing in-store you must provide your Friendship Rewards number to earn points for your qualifying merchandise purchase. If you don’t have your Friendship Rewards card a store associate can easily look up your number for you. When ordering online, you must be logged in to your account to earn points for qualifying purchases made at When placing an order by phone, please provide your Friendship Rewards number to the associate.

Q: What happens to my points if I make a return?

  1. Merchandise returns will result in a reduction of points equal to the number of points applied to your account at the time of purchase of the item(s) that are being returned.

Q: How long will it take to receive my points?

  1. Please allow up to five business days for in-store purchases to appear in your Points Activity. For purchases made online or by phone, please allow up to five business days from the time of shipment, rather than the time of order.

Q: Can I be awarded points for purchases made prior to joining Friendship Rewards?

  1. Only transactions made after you have signed up for the Friendship Rewards program are eligible for points.

Q: Do my points expire?

  1. Your points will expire if you have not had a transaction in-store, online, or by phone in 24 months.

Tiers and Benefits

Q: What are the requirements of each tier?

  1. Currently there are four tiers in the Friendship Rewards program: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Tier status is based on your annual spend in the calendar year on qualifying merchandise.
    • Silver: automatically enrolled with initial purchase < $100 spent in 1 calendar year • Gold: $100-$249 spent in 1 calendar year • Platinum: $250-$599 spent in 1 calendar year • Diamond: $600+ spent in 1 calendar year

Q: How long will I maintain my tier status?

  1. Tier status is calculated the first full week of each month based on purchases made prior to the calculation date. For example, if tiers are updated on May 4, then purchases made January 1 of the calendar year through May 3 would be used for the calculation. Once you have earned your tier, it is valid until the end of the calendar year. At the beginning of the following year your tier status is recalculated based on total spend of the previous calendar year.

Q: How will I receive my Reward Certificate?

  1. Members earn a $10 Reward Certificate after their point balance reaches 2500 points. Certificates are issued once per month and are sent to your email address or, if none is provided then to the mailing address we have on file.

Q: Can I access my Reward Certificates online?

  1. Yes. Friendship Reward Certificates are posted to your online account as well as issued via email or postal mail.

Q: How many Reward Certificates can I earn?

  1. There is no limit to how many Reward points you can earn in a calendar year; however, no more than 12,500 points can be redeemed per month (equivalent to $50 in Reward Certificates issued).

Q: Do Rewards Certificates expire?

  1. Yes, please refer to the expiration date displayed on the Reward Certificate. Generally, Reward Certificates expire approximately 45 days from issuance.

Q: How do I redeem my Friendship Rewards Certificate?

  1. Provide the store associate with your Reward Certificate number or print out the Reward Certificate accessible from the email that you may have received. To redeem your Reward Certificate online, enter the certificate number into the Promotional Code/Friendship Rewards Certificate box when you check out. For all other questions please contact customer service by emailing or calling customer service at 763-551-5000.

Q: When will I receive my Friendship Rewards Certificate?

  1. After you have accrued 2,500 or more points, you can expect to receive your first Friendship Rewards Certificate. Points are redeemed at the beginning of each month, and the Friendship Rewards Certificate will generally be received towards the middle of the month via e-mail or the mail.

Q: Who do I contact if I do not receive my Friendship Rewards Certificate?

  1. There are two methods to receive your Friendship Rewards Certificate:
    • My Account: Sign in at and login to your account for a quick view of your earned Friendship Rewards Certificate by the middle of the month.
    • Email: Friendship Rewards Certificates are emailed within a few days after they are displayed within your online account. Be sure to add to your address book to ensure you will receive your certificates via e-mail.
    • Mail: If we don't have a member's e-mail, the Friendship Rewards Certificates are sent First Class USPS and typically received by the 25th of the month.
      • To change your preference of receiving Friendship Rewards Certificates, please contact us by selecting "Friendship Rewards Program" and let us know if you would prefer to receive your Friendship Rewards certificate by email.

Q: What should I do if I am having trouble applying my Friendship Rewards Certificate to my online order?

  1. If you are having issues applying your Friendship Rewards Certificate on your online order:
    • please double-check the Friendship Rewards Certificate number to ensure that it was entered correctly; and
    • please double-check the expiration date on the Friendship Rewards Certificate to ensure it has not expired.
    Note: Some on-line offers may not be combined with a Friendship Rewards Certificate - please review the promotional details on any other offers currently in use on the order to determine if that may be the issue. If you still believe that you have a valid Friendship Rewards Certificate that is not working, please call us between 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. CST at 1-800-890-9601 to receive assistance.

Q: Can I use my Friendship Rewards Certificate on more than one order?

  1. Friendship Rewards Certificates can only be used on one order. Friendship Rewards Certificates have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for more than the order total. The remaining balance will be forfeited if the value of the Friendship Rewards Certificate is greater than the order total.

Q: Can I gift my Friendship Rewards Certificate to someone else?

  1. You are welcome to provide your Friendship Rewards Certificate to someone else as a gift; however, your points or membership cannot be transferred to another person.

Q: Do my Friendship Rewards Certificates expire?

  1. Yes – When you receive your Friendship Rewards Certificate, it will include an expiration date. Typically, the Friendship Rewards Certificates expire at the end of the month following the month they were issued. By way of example, if a Friendship Rewards Certificate has been issued in January it will be valid until the end of February.

Q: What if I lose my Friendship Rewards Certificate?

  1. If you are having trouble finding your Friendship Rewards Certificate whether via e-mail or the mail, you can login to your registered online account and obtain your Friendship Rewards Certificate number; however, we cannot replace lost or stolen Friendship Rewards Certificates.

Q: Will I receive a new Friendship Rewards Certificate if my order is cancelled?

  1. We will happily credit your replacement order for the amount of the Friendship Rewards Certificate that was used on the cancelled order as long as the replacement order is submitted prior to the expiration of the Friendship Rewards Certificate. Please contact us with your cancelled order number and new order number.

Q: Will I receive a new Friendship Rewards Certificate if I return my order?

  1. Points are not earned on merchandise that is returned. If you've already earned points on an item but later return it, adjustments will be made to your account and your points may reflect a negative balance. We do not replace Friendship Rewards Certificates that were used on merchandise that is returned.

Points Specific FAQs

Q: How do I know if I earned enough points to receive a Friendship Rewards Certificate?

  1. You can monitor your progress by creating an account with us. Once you have an account, you may login to your online account and within the "Certificate Progress", it will show how close you are to receiving a Friendship Rewards Certificate, and will inform you when we are in process of issuing a certificate. If we have your email address you will get a monthly statement showing your points balance.

Q: How long will it take for my points to show up within my online account?

  1. For most eligible purchases, your Friendship Rewards Points will post to your account typically within five business days from your purchase date, delivery date or shipment date.

Q: Will I receive points for purchasing a Christopher & Banks gift card or eGift card?

  1. You will not receive points when purchasing a gift card. However, you will receive the points when using a gift card to pay for a qualifying purchase, if you are a Friendship Rewards member.

Q: Will I receive points if I am not logged in when making an online purchase?

  1. We cannot guarantee you will receive your points if you are not logged in; however, we do our best to provide points to our members as long as all billing information (i.e., name, address, and email address) matches exactly to what is on file for the applicable friendship rewards account.

Q: Why can't I see my bonus points in my online account activity list?

  1. Any bonus points (double points and extra points from promotions) apply at the end of each month and will be listed in the "Points Activity List" within your online account as an adjustment. These points will be automatically reflected in the points total at the end of the month.

Q: How can I register for an account online to view my Friendship Rewards?

  1. Click Here to create an online account and check the box to sign up for Friendship Rewards for easy access to your Friendship Rewards.

Q: I am having issues logging in to view my Friendship Rewards. Do you have any advice?

  1. Please double-check your login username and password to ensure there are no extra spaces. Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. If you cannot remember your password please click "Forgot Password" If you continue to experience issues please contact us.

Q: Where can I find my Friendship Reward number?

  1. The fastest way to obtain your Friendship Reward number is by clicking here to log into your online account if you have created an account with us. Please note that it can take a few days for your Friendship Reward number to sync online after creating an account. If you do not want to register online, a store associate can easily look up your number for you if you provide us your first name, last name, and a valid email and/or mailing address or phone number.

Q: What if I have more than one Friendship Rewards Number and what will happen to my points?

  1. We do our best to identify duplicate accounts and merge them. If you believe you have multiple accounts that you would like merged together please contact us at:

Q: What if I created an account and have not yet been issued a Friendship Rewards number?

  1. It is not necessary to enter your Friendship Reward number when making an online purchase as long as you login to your registered account. You will receive your points and free Standard Shipping on orders of $35 or more as long as you are logged in. If you are making an in-store purchase please provide your first name, last name, and a valid email/or mailing address or phone number and a store associate can easily look up your Friendship Rewards number for you. When signing up for Friendship Rewards online it can take up to two weeks to be issued a Friendship Rewards number.

Q: How can I get a new card with my Friendship Rewards number?

  1. If you would like to print a new card you can login to your registered online account and click on the "Print Card" button within your profile or Friendship Rewards page. Replacement cards can be provided in store as well if you do not have a registered online account tied to your Friendship Rewards. The number on the new Friendship Rewards card may be different from the original one issued; however you will still receive your points and rewards from the previous number.

Q: How can I find out my point balance if I do not want to sign up for an online account?

  1. If you do not have an online account you can reach us by:
    • Contacting your local store
    • Contact us via email and select "Friendship Rewards Program". Please provide your Friendship Rewards number, full name, and email address or phone number if possible.

Q: Do I receive anything special for my birthday?

  1. Yes! We are excited to celebrate your birthday! Members will typically receive during their birthday month a gift, discount or other benefit but typically only so long as their account reflects at least one purchase during the prior 12 months. The gift, discount or other benefit provided may vary based upon the Membership Tier achieved.
